What does it cover?

100% of university and college fees, and a grant for living costs of £12,300 for graduate students, and £9,225 for undergraduate students.
Awards are made for the full duration of a student’s fee liability for the agreed course. If your scholarship is offered for a course lasting more than one year, the continuation of your scholarship each year is subject to an annual renewal process based on satisfactory academic progress.

How do I apply?

Graduates:

All Armenian nationals that have received a departmental offer by thedeadline of the 1st April 2011, for entry in October 2011 will be considered.If you are of Armenian nationality you do not need to take any action . No application material is required for Armenian nationals applying for a graduate course.
Candidates of Armenian descent applying for a graduate course that would like to be considered for this scholarship must submit the Graduate application form available in the right hand column above by email tostudent.funding@… by the deadline of the 1st April 2011.

Undergraduates

All Armenian nationals or of Armenian descent that have been offered a place by a college for an undergraduate degree must submit the undergraduate application form available in the right hand column above by email tostudent.funding@… by the deadline of the 1st April 2011.

How will I know if I have been successful?

Successful candidates will be notified by email by the end of May 2011.

Scholarship Description:The application process will occur in three phases: i) evaluation of curriculum vitae (CV), ii) interview and iii) general test and English proficiency. You do not need prior acceptance of a supervisor or to present a research project. However, we suggest that applicants come into contact with potential mentors to check on the availability of research projects in the intended areas.1st stage:The assessment consists of evaluation of academic titles, academic performance, production, work experience and (optional) letters of recommendation .2nd stage:Candidates approved in the first stage will be invited to an interview by permanent members of the program. The interview can be done in person or by teleconference, according to the choice of the candidate.

3rd stage: Candidates approved to the third stage will be invited to attend a written general exam and an English proficiency exam, both in person, at the the UFABC facilities. The general and English proficiency exams can be substituted, respectively, by the General GRE exam and the TOEFL, IELTS or equivalent. The substitution will take place only when requested by the applicant in the application form and is subject to the analysis of the application committee.
The general exam is focused on abilities such as comprehension, logical reasoning and argumentation of the candidate. It is advantageous to have pPrior knowledge in more than one of the following areas: (1) neuroscience and biology, (2) cognitive sciences and (3) mathematics (such as calculus and probability) and biostatistics. The following list of references is suggestive in relation to these subjects.

MA in Architecture and Cities Scholarship Essay Contests for International Students, UK


At Kent School of Architecture staff and students work together to create a stimulating post-graduate environment for learning and furthering our knowledge of architecture and cities.
We are delighted to offer a scholarship to support a new International (i.e. outside the EU) MA applicant in Architecture and Cities to join our post-graduate community from October 2011.The value of this scholarship is 50% of the F/T international student fees.

Applicants must have a good first degree in architecture, planning, architectural history or a related discipline. Applicants who are still completing their degree at the time of application must be able to show clear evidence that they will achieve these grades.Applicants whose first language is not English must provide with their application proof of their English language competence – IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 600.
This scholarship is open to suitable International (i.e., outside the EU) applicants only. Applicants must be able to commence their studies in October 2011.
